I have read your article thoroughly I tried to translate that stanza you mentioned by Kenji Miyazawa what does Kanko mean I am curious to know it's exact meaning.

Sort:  

Kanko is the girl’s name in that story. The sister and brother were singing and playing with words as they walked on the hard winter snow I think.
