Hello, Hi! Mustamos mi amigos and amigas! I missed you all here!!! I can't contain the happiness I felt today that I finally posting a new blog today! It's been a month in hiatus due to some reasons most especially our nature of work. So now, I'm finally back on track, and let me show you one of the most cherished and recent travels we had with Mam Smile. She brought me to one of her happy places- the Bagatayam Falls and the amazing river trail.
Here, it's just a few meters away from the national highway and this leaves me in awe. A big waterfall from Bagatayam, Catmon🥰
This time, we've been blessed with rain. After a long time, we finally tasted the raindrops and I missed this moment of splashing the goodness of the rain. When we reached our destination, the rain stopped. It's just so perfect because it's not too hot yet its humidity brings a heating effect to our body that releases through sweat. I also missed the sweat from hiking🥹🥹.
The water here in Bagatayam, Catmon, plays a vital role as it's where locals doing the laundry, and can bathe anywhere they want (I didn't ask if they use it for cooking, seems clean though 🤔). It stretches for about a kilometer or more based on our walking. This is the first part of the river where we have to walk along it's cemented pathways. We were extra careful since it was slippery.
It's been a few steps I took yet still in awe of the river and its environment. The big Acasia tree seems unbothered😉. Good thing the locals or the LGU here didn't pull this up. Such a great work!
As went further, saw someone doing the laundry and it's unusual for us Filipinos if a husband doing the laundry, hits differently. Well, as for me, before my husband got a business, he's been doing this too. All the household chores were on him. Hehe. It's a pride of a wife to have a responsible and loving husband. So if your partner cared about chores at home, then, you're in good hands.😍
There's a source of water where there were big tubes and metals to support the needs of locals here.
I didn't know that it's deep, look at that it reached my knees already, but it's fulfilling and soothing☺️
We need to walk by the water to get through the other side of the river. We have to immerse and get wet. It's so cold and I feel like I want to dip for a minute however, as usual, I don't have an extra shirt.
There are kinds of water but rivers have the most impressive yet therapeutic effect on us hikers. It brings us close to nature as well as creates a bond along its bank. It's not risky because it's not deep unlike another type of water that can swallow a person swimming (if not a swimmer).
It has round-shaped stones which can be a thing keeper or can be your guide. However, at some point could be dangerous as well, because these may roll over and hit someone on point. So better be vigilant in every action taken to avoid accidents while bathing.
purposefully felt the enerenergyewas taketakenm way. It served its purpose of delighting people and inviting them to dip and yes it's every day people come and go from other places.
It's indeed a WANDERful day trekking alongside the river. I felt that my energy came back after a hurricane washed away my all. Being with nature never failed to rejuvenate me.
That's all for today Hive friends. 'Till next time! Toodles😉
