RE: Exploring the shallow pools for deep insight on Africa’s southern shore

in WE ARE MOVING2 years ago

John Masefield poem taught at school never forgotten, a yearning within to live near the sea, watch the moods and tides.

Rock pools are most fascinating, those edible snail you sure got to be quick or they suction down you will never remove them from the stone. Roaming the shore through rock pools a favourite time to unwind, be me.

Hey that's amazing Joan, you know the poem. It's a classic and I really resonate with it as a coastal dweller. I miss the coast every time I leave it for some time.

Poem was set work for Std 4 if I remember correctly, lived in Johannesburg at the time Evocative enough to make one smell the sea literally when reciting poetry.

Wow that's an interesting memory. I'm so happy we both appreciate the same poem.

Lovely poem that beacons one to the sea, poet wrote a classic here.
