Hello, my lovely friends. How is your day today? It's one of my favorite days today because it's #WednesdayWalk day, which is created by @tattoodjay and it also collaborates with #MakeMeSmile created by
@elizacheng.
On Sunday, I decided to go for a big walk with my son, instead of just a walk around the neighborhood, even though it wasn't a sunny or a very warm day. I don't remember when was the last day I saw the sun here in Vancouver. I believe there were a few sunny periods in a few days last week, but that was about it.
But I really needed to get out in nature and not just for 20 minutes, but I just wanted to spend as much time in nature as I could, so we decided to walk all the way to Green Timbers Park and we were so glad that we did.
We not only walked there and just took our normal trail, but we decided to take a new trail that we have not walked before.
I don't know what these are or what they are called, but I am guessing that these are some kind of flowers, since they have these yellowish flowers growing and it looks like they love to live close to the water or in the water.
This trail took us pretty much all abound one big side of the park, which was so beautiful and so, so relaxing and it was just the right and perfect for me to do because I really needed it.
We met a new friend walking across the trail.
What I love about this park is that you are right in the forest enjoying this goregous nature, but you are actually right in the city of Surrey with a walking distance for some, like us, which is very awesome.
We found this giant rock, which on the pictures does not really look that big. It was all covered with moss.
Beautiful moss covering the the giant stone/rock.
It was really interesting to us, how did this huge rock eneded up here.
This park looks so much more beautiful in summer time when everything is so green. Right now half of the trees are green but a lot of the trees are still naked.
This tree looked pretty interesting with the two trees growing on this cut of tree.
Different trails you can take. This park has a lot of different trails, which makes it even more interesting and fun.
This park has this beautiful tiny lake, where a lot of fisherman come and catch rainbow trout. During summer time this park gets pretty busy, but never too busy, since there is so much space to do a picnic, or just sit on the bench or do some fishing or enjoy the tiny beach etc.
On the way back from the park.
This walk took us over 2 hours, since it takes us about 30 minutes one way to get to the park and walk back another 30 minutes back. But it was exactly what we needed.
I love spending time in nature, no matter where, if it's the beach, or the forest, or the mountain, or lake or even in my backyard, it is a true natural medicine and I feel the difference when I don't spend enough time in nature.
Nature and we are as one. Nature takes care of us, it gives us healing, peace, relaxes us, takes our stress and worries away, it feeds us and provides true medicine that our bodies do not fight against because it is all natural to our bodies. Nauture truly #MakesMeSmile🙂
Thank you so much for joining us on this awesome and gorgeous walk and I wish you all a wonderful rest of the week.
That first photo Of the big rock I thought it looked the shape of an elephant
That is amazing this trail is close to a built up area it looks so remote
I hope the sun makes an appearance for you soon but even on a grey day that trail looks so beautiful
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Now that I look it, it does have the shape of an elephant.
Finally we got some sun yesterday and today which is great because my parents are visiting, but it looks like another gray week is comming.
Glad you got some nice days while your parents were there
We are having a few grey damp days at the moment
This forest is beautiful! I really got lost among the trees, the branches, and the colors.
It looks so deep and at the same time so liberating.
Walking through there must have been a great experience both physically and spiritually.
I know. This place is pretty busy in nature.
It was a wonderful physical and spiritual experience for sure and can't wait to get out there even more now since summer is comming.
Thank you for your lively visit @belug.
