Water Storing ponds in villages save time and money.

Hey all hivers!
I hope you are all having fun on this beautiful plateform
Two days ago I had a chance to visit my ancestral village and the visit was really memorable. I thought of sharing some of my visit diaries with you all. I come across water saving ponds in the village which are really crucial part of the village life and they are something that help the people live in the village without any worry.

These green looking ponds surrounded by lush green bushes and some trees are treasure for the villagers. There are not huge resources of water in the rural areas so they rely on these ponds for all the needs associated with water.
In the rainy season they store all the water in these huge ditches and use it when the rain is over or when it is the season of crops.
With the help of these ponds they grow crops and they use this water for washing and bathing as well.
It is really hot in the days of Summer, so in these days children utilize these ponds as natural swimming pools and have a lot of fun while bathing and playing here. They learn swimming here and with the help of swimming they get a good body shape and become active.

Because of these water resources, villagers do not have to go far to fetch water from wells and this way they save their time and energy. They do not spend any money on buying water and spend their savings in another better way.

These ponds work as natural air coolers as well. There are trees around them and in the hottest days of the Summer these ponds keep the surroundings really cool and enjoyable.

Such big and pleasant things in the villages are really blessing. I believe this is what makes rural life better than urban life. Everything here brings us closer to nature and the bond with natural things gets stronger.
