ROSIE AND HER ORIGINS (RIP ROSIE)

she was very mild tempered and quite chilled out, i thought id write how spiders got their name in memory of Rosie.
Arachne, in Greek mythology, the daughter of Idmon of Colophon in Lydia, a dyer in purple. Arachne was a weaver who acquired such skill in her art that she ventured to challenge Athene, in Greek religion, the city protectress, goddess of war, handicraft, and practical reason, identified by the Romans with Minerva. She was essentially urban and civilized, the antithesis in many respects of Artemis, goddess of the outdoors. When Athene won a weaving contest against Arachne, she turned on her and turned her into a spider so she could weave eternally.
