COLORFUL FOREST RESIDENTS

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

Hello my dear friends.
I am very happy to be able to tell the story of my journey abroad to all of you.

This time I want to share a story about my experience seeing butterflies in the wild. The place I visited was Trans Seram SS, which is a causeway for Seram Island that crosses the Manusela National Park area. To arrive at this location, it takes about 3 hours by road from Masohi city.

I really like butterflies because of their various shapes and beautiful colors. Mixed colors of yellow, black, blue, white, orange, brown and so on like a rainbow, always give color.

The metamorphosis of a butterfly is one example of a complete transformation process of how an insect changes from a caterpillar, to a cocoon and becomes a butterfly. When it is a caterpillar, many people avoid it out of fear or disgust. However, after going through the cocoon process and she turns into a beautiful butterfly and many people want it.

The butterfly metamorphosis reminds us of the current Covid-19 virus pandemic. Now, we and nature seem to be going through a cocoon: "resting" preparing ourselves for the next stage of life. Likewise, humans should process.

Actually, I met many kinds of butterflies. However, due to its very fast movement, I had a very hard time taking pictures and getting the right moment. The butterfly flies and then sucks the flower essence while flying and moving. Moving from one flower to another made it very difficult for me to stay focused following it through the camera lens. But I still feel happy because I can enjoy it flying freely in nature.

These are some of the photos I managed to get. Not much and less clear indeed but these photos are the best photos that can be taken, at least I can capture this extraordinary moment. It's really hard to get this amazing moment. And also makes me want to learn more about photography.
