Hi everyone, especially those of you in this community. How are you all doing? I'm sure you're all well and healthy. I am very happy to be in this community. On this occasion I would like to share about a plant and some of its photos that I captured while wandering around a garden. This plant is an ornamental plant with the name Purple Heart or Purple Queen.
This plant belongs to the genus Tradescantia with the scientific name Tradescantia pallida (Rose). This plant is known to originate from the Gulf Coast region in Eastern Mexico and is widely found in the Florida area, South America.
The beauty and uniqueness of this plant is in its stems and leaves which are all purple. The way to reproduce this plant is by stem cuttings. This plant is a semi-tropical plant and includes plants that are not spoiled that can grow in various types of soil. Its leaves will look more striking if it grows in a location that is exposed to a lot of sunlight.
This ornamental plant is usually used as an ornamental plant in the garden or as a hanging plant. As an ornamental plant, this plant is considered very effective for improving indoor air quality because it can filter volatile organic compounds.
In my area, this plant went viral and became the most sought-after plant around 2018. This is because, some people believe that this plant can treat various diseases, including anemia, diarrhea, bronchitis, and even prevent bleeding and tumors.
And the next advantage is because it can be used as a natural food coloring. This is due to the content of anthocyanin pigments in this purple ornamental plant.
That's a glimpse of this purple ornamental plant. Hope it's useful and you like it. Thank you very much for everything. See you in the next post. Greetings from me to all of you.
