As I was writing some stuff down last night (my new "I'm 46 years old and trying to figure out my life kind of journaling..."), I thought of a fun exercise for myself for my #pictureaday post. Why not research old photographic art styles of the past, and then attempt (keyword, attempt) to replicate it with an edited photo from my daily adventures? I don't know if it will stick, but I've decided I'll go ahead and attempt a Bauhaus-style photo every Wednesday. Fingers crossed!
And, I have some research to do on other styles...please feel free to drop some ideas below!
Curious, as "Bauhaus" is a German word, is it common in English?
Like Kindergarten or Wunderkind?
I like the idea of a theme/topic per day of the week. Has to be narrow enough to be challenging but broad enough to allow for a posting each week without repetition.
How about technology-thursday?
That's not a bad idea! I was kind of thinking of genres of art in the 20th century, where photography fell into into it, but a subject matter isn't a bad thought either.
Tomorrow I was actually thinking Abstract Expressionism Thursday !
Oh now I want to find out what that means. Guess you will show me tomorrow :-)
