Close-up: Blue-Eyed Wasp

Yesterday, I spent some time at my mom’s house and decided to sit outside to enjoy some fresh air. While relaxing, I noticed this unrecognized insect at the wall near me.

I couldn’t identify what type of insect it was. Then I decided to photograph it. Once I captured a clear image, I used Google’s image search feature to search about this insect.

The search results revealed that this insect is called a blue-eyed wasp or scientifically known as Evania appendigaster. Discovering its name and learning a bit about it made the experience even more rewarding.
