The skating rink wasn't open on New Year's eve and stood silent in the night. It would've been cool if the province had opened it, but I'm sure there were reasons. Usually, it's full of people and sometimes holds live music events. It's open air, so one can see people skating and enjoying themselves to the sound of music. Maybe next year we can get the tunes pumping and the crowd sliding to welcome the New Year.
