That evening, the walk home turned into something fun. The sun was already softening, and the street felt slower as my children and I walked, chatting about the day. Suddenly, my son stopped. He pointed excitedly at a flowering tree dressed in clusters of white blooms, possibly from the jasmine family. It was simple, elegant, and glowing against the green.

"Mum, see!" He pointed his little fingers towards the tree. "This one is beautiful. Can you post it on Hive?" he asked. I smiled. "Of course I can" I answered.

I lifted my phone and captured the flowers. We continued walking when, just a few steps ahead, my son tugged at my hand again. Near a building, hanging confidently from a vine, appeared to be a ripe bitter melon ( bitter gourd), I guess. It was Identifiable by its bumpy texture and yellowish color as it matured.

Again, he insisted I take a shot.
Those two moments—flowers and fruit—turned an ordinary walk into a shared discovery. Through my son's eyes, the street became a gallery, and the evening became a gentle lesson in paying attention.
