Busy! I've decided to become a bonafide homeopath, a grueling endeavor, but very compelling. I have very little patience for all the work that goes into making a post here, and need that time for studying. History, philosophy, scince and math. I feel like I am in my twenties again, intellectually. All good, very very good!

I want call what I have been doing studying but I have been reading a lot of poetry as well as philosophy. It's intentional though, building my knowledge of poetry and the world of ideas.
I like you saying studying makes you feel like you're in your twenties again. I can relate to that. What books of philosophy are you reading now?

All stuff relating to homeopathy. Samuel Hahnemann's Organon, a weighty dissertation by my teacher, and history of homeopathy going back to Hippocrates, who was the first known doctor to see that like could cure like. All tied into the philosophical notions of that time. What's really fascinating to me is that the times Hahnemann lived and worked in (late 1700s early 1800s) are very much like our times now, both medically and politically. Conventional medicine that did far more harm than good and worked hard to snuff out any modes of healing that did work, war worldwide, revolutions, fascism. I believe we are living under fascism right now, and have been for a very long time, but cannot recognize it because no heads are rolling, and that we are slaves but can't recognize that because there are no chains on our ankles and whips at our backs.

Oooh homeopathy sounds like an interesting focus. I agree with you about the state of the world rn, politically and otherwise. I think we are more or less numb and also distracted. The advent of social media is the greatest invention of the world. Every addiction and vice can be gotten and with our eyes stitched to the screen, the higher ups, governments and corporations can get away with murder. Nowadays, we just rant then return to tiktok dance videos or gossip.
I am doing some reading on philosophy myself but my focus is mainly art and writing. I just started reading Maritain's works and Kafka as well. Still avidly gorging on Rilke's poems as well. The aim is to not only build my craft but to also grasp the truth of this life if that's possible.
