If you look at the cycles (and you may be nearly as old as I am so can do this) we were in the nineties from around 2020.
This round they locked us down prior to elections in 2024.
So it seems to be the usual
resistance - 60s (war) / 90s (fall of capitalism in USA) - 2020 (COVID lockdown to prevent the shift they had begun from being stopped - a preemptive move, if you will) when we the people wake up and say nope.
+- a decade of "love and light and the loosening of the reins (70s; late 90s ecstacy boom into the first ten years after 2010 etc) with more economic stability for we the bottom rungs of the American Pyramid Dream - and then a realignment of the financial system / a crash - and our resistance and repeat
We are in the latter stages of "the resistance" but, this time, we were divided / locked down and buried in search results to prevent it happening, while Trump and frens took The Great hack (watch it again with new experience and new eyes) - 2016 elections - global. International lobbying and taking down the financial competition.
We can, hopefully, look forward to an upswing (IF we become more vocal and tackle their ai - which is affecting ALL of our online income and business globally) - or simply learn to work around it is more sensible (less stressful and also less dangerous)
We wait to see what next, as usual. BUT we do need to get up to speed with HOW they are using the tech and info.
It doesn't matter how wonderful your website or blog is if they bury you on Google. Your business will stall. And this seems to be their method. They also seem to be altering front-end numbers with ai (likes and shares). Worse... they shut down any activism and / or resistance to their minority but super powerful club before they made their global push in 2024 elections.
Terrifying but this is progress so one should accept our new online reality and we should be looking at methods of bypassing their control of the online algorithms and learning more about HOW they are using our personal data.
Then one must research and learn about BCI's and "Bio-Hacking" - now the norm and there are many groups both developing AND USING this tech. It's become mainstream.
Interesting times for sure and I, honestly, never thought I would live to experience many of my childhood Sci-Fi flicks in actual real life. Bizarre!
