Dear 20 Something.......

in Reflections9 hours ago

Few days ago, I decided to read an ebook I got for free from a Telegram group. I found every piece of the writing so true as most of the words reflected my personal experience which I believe occurs to 85% of people in their early and late twenties.

For some of us you will recall that before your twenties, at some point to getting things we need so quickly and easily, for instance, we were so sure that there is someone to cater for our basic needs but as we approach and reach the level of Twenties to Twenty something, we realize that perhaps due to certain unforseen circumstances, we are left to figure some certain things out by ourselves, our families expects us to respond to certain responsibilities- This is when Adulthood starts.....

For some of us, we find the need to withdraw and spend sometime alone and think of a way of settling the dispute in our mind. We become constantly bombarded with information that tells us what we need to do be doing at every day point in life.

Most people develop the habit of comparing themselves with others, we find ourselves saying things like "I wish I'm like him/her". You feel like you are not better than you think because you think your mates are the best. We thought so much of how tomorrow will be that we forget that we all need PATIENCE to pass through the process.

In order to be free from the feeling of low self esteem and underachievement we should:

  1. Stop blaming others people for where we are in life; you are responsible for who you will become and it all depends on the type of choice you make.

  2. Never compare yourself with others, we are all on a different path.

  3. Decide to be an ordinary version of yourself which can be centered on discovering of purpose.

This was the thought that kept me awake all night and I hope you found value.

Thank you for reading.❤️✨🫶
