Self-Evaluation is reflection
Courtesy to the IsraAID who share this kind of activity during our training way back 2018. This really effective in reflecting oneself based on the characters with numbers.
The said training is all about managing our psychological, emotional, physical, spiritual and mental capacity during and after disaster specially how to handle and manage campsite or the evacuation center. The training focuses how to deal with the victim, how to conduxt proper program, proper way of comforting them, helping them to recover from trauma, from the after effect of the disaster. And I am thankful, up to now, I never applied the training to real victim but ot really help me actually in my own battles. In the previous years, I was able to facilitate those actovities we learned from the training to different group of people. I was once worked in the government, handling the drug surrenderers and I used the materials and sessions during our once a month session with the drug surender togethwr with their family and it really help them to express the feelings and emotions and able to share what really bothers them, their fear, their dreams and their plans for them to cope up from the situation they were in.

You can also use this moonin tree. But before doing this do the following breathing exercise:

  1. Seat straight in a chair, leaning your back to the chair feeling the chair in your back. Inhale (1,2,3,4,5) exhale (1,2,3,4,5) do this 3x
  2. Let the weight of your shoulder and body flow in your feet, just relax then inhale, exhale (3x)
  3. Feel your feet in the ground and put your hand in your lap and feel it. Inhale, exhale (3x)
  4. Feel your heartbeat,and your breath
    inhale, exhale (3x)
  5. Then slowly open your eyes and shake your hands counting 5 seconds)

Then choose the most number that reflects your answer by answering the following question:
-how do you feel today?
-what makes you happy?
-what makes you sad?
-what is your ultimate goal?
-what is your greatest fear?
-what are your strength?
(choose atleast 3)
-what are your weaknesses?
(choose atleast 3)

This will serve as our self evaluator to measure how is our capacity and capability. In our daily life, we met different people with different character, different perspective in life, different beliefs and many more. So it is very important to evaluate ourselves, talk with our own self for us to make wiser decision what to do next.
The following certificate was given upon completion of the 4 days ***Holistic Expressive Art Resilience Training ***held last December 3-6,2018 at the Municipal Hall, Tuba, Benguet conducted by IsraAID headed by Yosef J. Jalil,Country Director, IsraAID-Philippines in partnership with the PLGU Benguet and LGU-Tuba.
