This really made me think about how much of life we spend reacting instead of truly living. I like the idea that story drives our actions. It is so true that when we are with it, that's meaningful. We naturally want to put more effort. But maybe the real challenge is to try to write this our own story instead of letting the world etermine what is good for us.
I hope your new medication works better this time.
I see it a bit like being chased by a hungry lion, are we running toward something of our own volition, or away from something because we are forced? The reaction to the world we are fed through consumption ends up that we are led by those who benefit from leading us, even if it is a cost to our own experience.
When we write our own story, we get to choose our direction, rather than having it chosen by the hungry lion.
