Does Premonition Matter To You?

Many times I have heard people share stories of how they were able to prevent something tragic from befalling them by simply paying attention to the premonition they had.

Many people have unconsciously avoided death either by turning down a trip or alighting from a car they had already gone onboard simply because they felt uneasy about that journey.

To some people, this thing does not really matter, probably because of how they were raised or because of the religion they are espoused to.

Personally, my belief is that premonition is one of those ways to which God uses to save us from tragedies. About two years ago my brother had called his two friends to come to the house with their motorbike and pick him up so they can go to a certain event together.

It was a very important event to them, a friend they had known for quite a long time was getting married so they were invited.

His friends actually showed up as they had agreed, but surprisingly to us, my brother who was already set for the event suddenly changed his mind and told his friends that he does not feel comfortable attending the ceremony and by every indication, he was serious about that.

He was well dressed while waiting for his friends, but he immediately went to his room and changed up at about five minutes after their arrival.

Everyone was shocked beyond words because he has never been so rash in making decisions. His friends tried to persuade him to join them but he was not moved by their pleas. When they saw he will not change his mind, they left him.

Later in the evening as we were told, they were involved in a lethal accident and one of them had died, the survivor had his right legs badly damaged and was amputated.

Maybe my brother would not have survived the accident, who knows?

I had an experience recently. Customarily, I go for night classes in the college I am attending to read, especially when the exams is by the corner.

Unlike myself, when I came back home that evening, I became so tired and I felt I will not be able to attend my routine night class, but my friend who came around will not leave for the class until I join him. I didn't want to because of how I was feeling, by he was able to get me join him after so much persuasion.

We left for night class and came back the next morning to see armed police officers in our compound. At first, we thought maybe they came for an arrest, but as we managed to find our way to the house, we were told that armed robbers had invaded the compound the previous night.

People's belongings and valuables were taken. I would have been a victim, but I only escaped because I obliged when my friend asked me to join him for night class.

From these experiences I have shared, I guess you may have had, if not similar, but experiences that close to any of these. What's your take, do you believe one can be saved from trouble through premonition? I will be in the comments section for your responses.
