RE: Standing Room Only

I print a lot of the pictures that I take, mostly for family and Lily herself. There are not many non-artists left that print photos for memories, at least not in my circles.

It is not that they don't have skills, but the skills they have are generally far less interesting to engage with.

I disagree. I'd rather say that very skilled artists and very skilled business people have both very interesting skills to talk about. Many aspects of business go deep into philosophy, and when someone is good in their business, they contemplate more than "just the business", but how to lead, how to motivate, what is a fair wage, what are good practices. If they don't just repeat the playbook that everyone gets when studying, but have their own ideas, then it's interesting.

Same goes for artists. They can bore me to death when they just do the "artsy talk", repeating stereotypes, but they can fascinate me when they talk with real passion, discuss their very own visions and the creations based on them. Best example for me is Ellie and her brother Ducrecio (he wanted that nickname...). I don't enjoy anything about fashion. But with the two of them, the way they talk about the creations and visions, it's fascinating. And there, too, a lot of contemplation of the world flows into it.
