RE: [ENG/ ESP] - My journey towards positive parenting

“That will never happen to me.”

I am sure now you have learned that all of that WILL happen to you, and much worse! :)

My wife and are are both geologists and avid world travelers both for work and for joy. When we had kids, we have two daughters, 9 and 13 now, we said to ourselves that we will NOT change our travel habits, no matter what. We didn't. Was it easy, NO. Was it doable? yes, for sure? Is our kids better for it? yes. Do to they watch a lot of iPad? when we both work from home? Yes. Are they addicted to their devices? No.

My 13 year old just did a trip with her firends alone from Japan, 18 days trip.

Before that she traveled to Italy, the previous summer, again with her friends. Not to mention the travel she does with us.

Your kids will be a reflection of you, they will mold their life according to your own, and they will be better for it.

Wow, that’s truly inspiring! It’s amazing to hear how you and your wife have managed to keep your love for travel alive while raising two daughters. It must have taken a lot of effort and planning, but it’s so rewarding to see how independent and well-rounded your kids have become as a result. Your 13-year-old traveling solo to Japan and Italy with friends is such a testament to the confidence and life skills you’ve instilled in them. Thank you for sharing this—it’s a great reminder that balancing parenthood and personal passions is not only possible but can also have such a positive impact on the next generation!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed to play a game of soccer with my daughters someday! :)
And I’ll surely inspire them love for nature.

a lot of effort and planning

Nah! We are both terrible planners. Just grab life by the horns:)

Most of my parenting I learned from the kids to be honest. They are excellent teachers.

The best that will ever exist! And they transform you into a better person from de day 1! Have a nice day!
