For an “old house” as you say, it looks very good. The pastel colours and the light coming in through the windows match. The choice of the different framed subjects look perfect.
I would have in the living room, an ultra flat screen with no border resembling a painting and reflecting a moving aquarium (a small video), perhaps with an audio track of falling rain.
We don't have any screens in the downstairs loungeroom at all. We have an upstairs area for watching TV or doing that kind of thing. But, we have speakers spread throughout the house and there is normally some music playing somewhere.
Good, perfect. But, the screen I'm referring to would be another picture on the wall that would simulate an aquarium, I particularly like it and it relaxes me...
