Is There Anything You're Willing to Pay Hive to Get Help With?

in Reverio2 years ago (edited)

While many of us care about the community side of HIVE, it's indisputable fact that many of us also choose Hive because of its money-earning potential. Whether we invest money or time in it, we expect our Hive accounts to give us high ROI (return of investments) in the long run.

Life however isn't easy, and every one of us lacks a skill or two to make the most of our investments, as such we require the help of each other.

This made me think... There are some things that I don't have the time or skill to do myself and would love someone else to help me with. I'm sure many from Hive community feel the same way...

Surely some of us have skills that can help one another, but we're afraid of asking if people need our skills.

So, I'm asking this to know what type of services people are willing to pay HIVE for, and if someone has the skill, they'll know who to reach out to.

Is There Anything You're Willing to Pay Hive to Get Help With? What is it?

Hah. I thought the same thing a while ago.

:)

We need a community to share skills and services on so that we can support fellow Hive members.

And no kidding... I found one today. Honest truth!

So the short answer is YES!

I would pay HIVE for editor/proof reading content. I miss typos ALL the time.

Sounds interesting! I'll sign up for reverio soon from my laptop. I liked the question and good answer given by you. We expect high ROI but we invest time here and some investing money too but its true our expectations are big.

Take care bro Ahmad! 🧡

Thanks for your comment. It's true that our expectations are very high. I wrote this question to see if any person needs help with small things that other people on Hive might find easy to help them with. I should've added examples like Graphic Design, Writing, Proof Reading, Comment Organization...etc.

I may edit the post later if I thought I should provide the examples in it.

If there was some "fiverr" inspired frontend that you could spend HIVE/HBD on to outsource other peoples skills for projects that would be amazing!

This question reminds me of the time of the Steemit Trails where you must give part of your SP to be voted in the posts, I think that was a way to pay for the posts to receive votes that in the end did not pay much because everyone had a low voting power; I think it is still used now in Hive, but not all communities use it, at least I think it is not mandatory to be part of a trail.

I think that would be the way to pay to receive another benefit in Hive, but I don't know if I would be willing to participate now, maybe in the future.

I was talking about actual services, you like marking designs for someone or even buying goods. There's the #hivelist community but not many people use it.

But as for what you talked about...

The vote bots are frowned upon on Hive, but there are services that allow you to pay to get votes like @dustsweeper which doesn't give you any profit but prevents your loss from low-payout posts, and ecency.com in which you special points to pay, (not Hive) and @ecency's curator has the right to curate your post or not depending on their own criteria.

Yes i hope so too

An interesting offer, thank you

Thanks for reading... Do you have something you'd like another Hive user to help with? Even if in the future when your earnings are enough to pay for it?

Yes. I want a lot of hive user friends to help me. I like to write, but my ability to understand English is minimal, I translate everything, I need help with a guide so that many friends are willing to share. Thank you you have helped me a lot

Ooh, I like this one !

For me the answer is simple; coding. It's something that I just can't do.

Every so often, I come up with an idea for a Dapp or App or software tool that has the potential to make money or just make life easier in some way. It's really frustrating that in a couple of cases I've approached people who just go "nah mate, cant' be done", when what they really mean is they can't be bothered or are too busy to do the work. Then a month or six months later, someone else has had the same problem, thought up a similar solution, and released a product that's now making them a decent amount of money !

I've been thinking for a while that Hive has a pool of seriously talented people. Not just coders, it's a place that naturally attracts people who can think for themselves, with all kinds of different talent.

It would be great if we could develop a Dapp within Hive (but marketed outside it) along the lines of Fiverr, Freelancer or Upwork, to enable us all to put those skills to work (and create another new way for Hivers to earn HP or even HBD). If a cut of the earnings was paid back to Hive, it would be revenue that could be used by the HDF to help cover the cost of approved proposals, or used in other ways to benefit Hive and bring in new Hivers.

There's the Hivelist community if you want to check it out, you can give your services or ask for services there: https://hivelist.io/

If someone code and market an app that does the same but takes payment from outside Hive (Credit Cards/Paypal.) It would be great!

Ah, I didn't realise Hivelist could do that as well, I've only looked at it from an e-commerce perspective so far. Awesome !

Taking fiat payments is always a tough one, banks hate anything that smells of crypto ! But I reckon an ideal solution would be one which includes an option where payment by HIVE or HBD gives (say) a 5% discount, and then has a "create a HIVE wallet" button that automatically creates a wallet and securely emails/texts the keys, allowing someone to instantly deposit fiat to buy HIVE and then pay for the service in Hivelist. If the email also included links to other Hive Dapps and front-ends, it could be a fabulous way to easily onboard new Hivers 😀

That would be awesome!
