The next nine weeks? (2022.11.01)

Ecency Discord Topic 44 by @beeber.

Roughly two months. Until the end of the current year (2022). From my aspect, it is very interesting. Or rather scary. There are still no doors to the rooms in the house. Probably I will move to live somewhere else, but I currently do not know where. It would take too much to fix this house. The owner visibly do not care about the house. He is not willing to fix it. He would have already done it.

The winters are very cold in my country (in Hungary). My current main goal is to avoid getting cold. The nights are already below 10 °C.

Speaking of aspect, I took two photos about the house. Only the house, so this time I am not visible on the photos, nor my Harris's hawk.

If you see only these photos, then probably it is hard to imagine that someone is living in this house. But this is the harsh reality. Currently I live in this house with my Harris's hawk. I posted photos about it in the past in the Feathered Friends community, so a few people already seen it.

Down below is the entrance to the rooms. The blue wire is my 30 meters long wire antenna for my radioamateur transceiver. I have not turned it on in the previous few days. The last time I made a two-way radioamateur contact was on 2022.10.26.

And the collapsed part of the house. This was the kitchen. Probably long ago.

I have not took photos about the interior this time, because I already posted about it in the past, and it did not changed since then. So yes. I currently live in a partially collapsed house.

I do not know what the future will bring, but I will try to adapt and survive. Just like I did so far. I was homeless multiple times during my life, so I know what it is like. If the worst case happens, then I will have to try to not freeze to death. A real life survive challenge.

At least it is not boring. I feel that I live.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Any possibility to use thicker nylon and cover the door and missing windows?

I thought about this multiple times, but even if I would do that, the wall also has little holes in it. It would take a lot to fix this house.

Small steps, at least nylon will keep majority of heat (if any),however must be better then anything, you can even try to make a frame.
Try to stuck the paper inside the holes, not sure how big they are, or sponge.

Owner won't certainly do anything about it, otherwise he wouldn't allow anything similar to this.

@xplosive I followed you since Steem and I think you are a lovely chap and I quite like you. I make an effort to visit your page quite a bit to see if you are ok.
But you need a bit of tough love to put your arse in gear. It's time to stop thinking and start doing my friend. There has been lots of suggestions around your predicament from commenters in recent months but you are still in the same situation waiting for others to do things for you. Your landlord was never going to get a door. That's a fact. I think everyone knows this. @alt3r gives a good suggestion about what to do but yet I do not think you will do anything about it but write next week that you are in same situation. Every little helpful tip was answered with a "BUT" over the last few months. So first off you need to look at this and think about it,

You need to start taking action by visiting your DIY store and buying some items to block up these gaps. Youtube videos will show you how to mend things . I am sure your brother will help you with making the house warm. The next post I see you write I want to see progress no matter how small. Otherwise it's just another "woe is me" post.

If you are not going to help yourself then you are going to have a very tough Winter. If you asked 1000 people on Hive , 1000 will tell you that your shelter must take priority over any pet no matter how dear to you it is.
This would solve most of your problems straight away as you would be able to find a place to stay easier. Give your head a wobble and get priorities straight. The bird may be your soul mate but you need to start making tough decisions or we will be here next month in -10 freezing our tits off.

I am sure your brother will help you with making the house warm.

A few weeks ago he went to live in another house with the owner and his family. They have a very warm house. They heat it with fire (wood). He often sleep in the kitchen. He rarely even visit me. I highly doubt that he will help, but I will see what I can do. Maybe other people help (for example the neighbors). Sometimes complete strangers help. I already experienced this multiple times.

Perhaps in the countryside you can rent a house inexpensively for a few months. If renting a house costs 200-300 Hive per month, then you can spend the winter and earn this money on hive.blog

I wish that I could earn 200-300 Hive per month, but that is not the case. And even if I would earn that, the bigger problem is that almost no one allow me with my Harris's hawk in their house.

By the way, I earned less than $80 USD with Hive in the last 30 days. According to HiveStats, I earned $72.52 USD in the last 30 days. I would not be able to pay rent with my Hive income. It is too low for that.

Not all year round, only in winter.

Hi and thanks for joining this weekly #edtopic

Phu, its so difficult to say something or give advice how to get your problems fixed. For sure you got a lot of "wise knowing everything easy to handle" Tips in the past from people who are not walking in your shoes.

Just looked at the photos here https://ecency.com/hive-106444/@xplosive/with-some-work-this-building and besides what is destroyed and needs to be fixed, I see a wonderful piece of land to live there.

How far away from Hungary/Austria borderline do you live? Here, people are just throwing away doors, windows, furnitures...

9 weeks left to get your house a warm home this year. Really hope you can make it.

!LUV to Harri's hawk :-)

How far away from Hungary/Austria borderline do you live?

The Austrian border is at the western part of Hungary. Currently I live in the eastern part of Hungary.

9 weeks left to get your house a warm home this year. Really hope you can make it.

Either this (somehow), or moving to live somewhere else. I will certainly do something.

!LUV.

Yay! 🤗
