Welcome to Jurassic Park!
Ok its actually a frilled lizard not a Dilophosaurus from the movie. Maybe even cooler because *** spolier alert *** the dilophosaurus didn't have a frill and probably didn't spit venom either 😳 If you follow the link and read about the Dilophosaurus toward the end is a Jurassic Park section.
Before frilled lizard gets upset, it first tries to camouflage. Today's post is more pictures from my son's Australia trip. Lizards and geckos.
This well hidden guy is a rough knob tailed gecko Nephrurus amyae
Pernatty knob tailed gecko looks almost fake like it is an AI creation.
Fat tailed gecko Diplodactylus licking its eye.
Merten's Water Monitor is a large lizard and can grow up to 6 ft long if you include the tail.
Spiny tailed gecko once you notice this gecko you can see the spiny tail that is in its name.
A close up to finish out post 🙂

Thanks for the support 🙏🙏
You're welcome
Love the geckos 🦎 they are just cute. 🥰 Great captures of them by your son.
I had quite a few of them living in the roof of the terrace when I lived in the countryside of Spain in a very old casita of a mill. I would observe them every day.
Geckos are definitely the cutest of the bunch 👍
They are… so cute.
wow your post is very good😊
Thanks I like reptiles
Such beautiful creatures!
Beautiful and underappreciated 🙂
I'm a big fan, there are 4 different lizard and gecko species living around my house
We had some lizards around in California but now that we are in Vermont not so much 😆 too cold but we do have some salamanders.
Wonderful to see you sharing family photos! These are great! Your son has an eye for photography, just like his dad!
Thanks. Very cold here the last couple of days. Nice to see some of the world isn't frozen over 😆
The kids are driving here today for the holidays. And wouldn't you know we have freezing rain.
My son gets back to New Jersey tonight. I am going to try and convince him to wait until tomorrow to drive up. We are supposed to get 4-8" of snow tonight.
Safety for all.
Oh very cool pics of all these little dinosaurs, especially the Spiny tailed gecko
Have a great week
Such diversity in nature. Sometimes you wonder why we need AI to make stuff up, the real world is pretty cool.
Thank you for posting in the Ecency community
Sending you Ecency points ♥️
Thanks for the ecency points 👍
Lots of successful herping. I really like that rough knob gecko and the frilled lizards always remind me of neuman from jurassic park lol.
