Steemit was created by Ned Scott and EOS founder Dan Larimer. The team launched the social media platform Steemit as the first application built upon Steem blockchain.

Mars Finance, a Chinese media platform recently invested by Binance, Matrixport, and other influential investors in China, just reported that Justin Sun said that he has wrapped up multiple acquisitions in the last week, and is about to announce the acquisition of the crypto social platform Steemit.
Five days ago, Sun Yuchen, the founder of TRON, revealed on his profile on the Chinese social networking Weibo that two mergers and acquisitions have been recently completed. But since then, this comment seems to have been deleted.

Further details of the deals have not been disclosed by Justin or the TRON team. At the TRON foundation Summit earlier in 2019, Andrew Levine, Content Director of Steemit, and Mick Tsai, the partner of Contentosio (COS) discussed the issue of “How the blockchain changes content” at the summit. The two gave constructive opinions of the current content creating according to the tweet.
