The Constantia estate, surrounded by beautiful #nature, has evolved over 20 years. It began with the restoration of the original house and later expanded to include the ‘Tree House,’ a gym pavilion, and a new building on nearby land. A historic wagon road now connects the old and new areas, linking the past with the present.
The new building, designed by @malan_vorster, is set into the hillside, offering views of Table Mountain through large windows. Its open layout connects indoor and outdoor spaces, with planted roofs and natural materials like stone and terrazzo helping it blend into the landscape.
Designed for a family known for their appreciation of sensory experiences, the estate features calming elements such as a reflection pond, native plants, and pathways that showcase the surroundings. It’s a peaceful, nature-inspired space that continues to grow in harmony with its environment. 📸: @elsa47 #architectanddesign
