Wedang Ronde

I want to share a type of culinary hot drink which is a typical Central Javanese drink. This type of hot drink is just starting to go viral in my area. So I was curious to taste the deliciousness of this drink. This requires me and my family to hunt for it even though we have to travel quite a distance from where I live. It takes about 30 minutes by vehicle to get to the area that sells the hot drink.

Wedang Ronde is the name of the warm drink I mean. This original drink from Central Java seems to have just arrived in the area where I live. Actually, the name Wedang is familiar to me, namely a warm drink that contains a distinctive ginger taste. But because behind the name Wedang there is the word Ronde, the name of this drink is foreign to my ears.

Finally I found a roadside shop that sold this hot drink. "Wedang Ronde Taman Rezeki". I immediately ordered four portions of Wedang Ronde for four people and immediately enjoyed the taste of the warm drink which made me curious.

While enjoying the warm Wedang Ronde drink, I started looking for information about this drink from the seller. I just found out that the Wedang Ronde warm drink is a typical Central Javanese drink. Wedang is a warm drink made from ginger juice. Ronde is a round food made from sticky rice flour. Ronde which is stored in a serving bowl is mixed with Ronde and it becomes a Wedang Ronde drink which is suitable to be served in cold weather or in the afternoon and evening.
