Taking care of a shelter dog, Soybean 😁

My sister is going on a trip, and during that time, I’ll be looking after her dog for a few days. This dog is a shelter dog that my sister adopted from a dog shelter a few years ago. It seems that Toy Poodles are sold for high prices as puppies in Japan (5000USD per puppy or more), and unbelievably, this one was made to breed seven times, with all the puppies were sold. Then, when she could no longer get pregnant, she was abandoned and ended up in a shelter. It makes me feel like I've seen the worst side of humanity. This is just terrible.

姉が旅行に行くと言うことで、その間、数日間ですが姉の犬を預かることになりました。 この子は保護犬で、数年間に姉が犬の保護施設から保護したようです。 トイプードルは日本では子犬が高額で売買される様で、なんと、7回も妊娠させられ、全ての子犬は売買されたようです。 そして、妊娠ができなくなった状態で捨てられた様で、保護施設で保護されていたようです。 なんか、人間の酷い一面をみた感じがします。

When she was rescued, her fur had fallen out due to stress, but after a few years, it finally grew back. It seems she had been living with a lot of stress all this time, and at first, she didn’t open up to us easily. She would always tremble slightly. She barely ate her food either. However, since this is her second time staying over, she seems to have gotten a bit more comfortable be around with us. And I am very glad to see that she likes here.

保護された時はストレスで毛が抜け落ちていたようで、数年かけてやっと毛が生えそろいました。かなりストレスを抱えて今まで生きてきたようで、当初はなかなか心を開いてくれませんでした。いつも、ブルブルと微動に震えていました。そして、食事もほとんど食べなかったようです。でも、今回は2回目のお泊まりと言うこともあってか、少し慣れてきたようです。

In France, the forced breeding of companion dogs like this has been banned by law, Ive heard. And the sale of pets in pet shops has also been prohibited. I think customers who exclaim "How cute! KAWAII!!!" while looking at dogs in pet stores should consider adopting a dog from a shelter before deciding to buy one. 😉 What do you say??
