Kiruna Church

Four years ago I went sightseeing in Kiruna, a city in northern Sweden. Looking at the photos, I remember with nostalgia that four years have already passed.

"I want to experience a world where the temperature is minus 20 degrees Celsius."

"I want to experience the Sami culture."

"I want to see the Northern Lights if possible."

I went to Kiruna with these goals in mind and with a sense of excitement in my heart. When you do something you have never experienced before, it feels like it is etched in your brain for the rest of your life. That piercing cold on my skin was a memory I could not have experienced in Japan. In the end, I could not see the Northern Lights during my stay in Kiruna, but I am sure that this means that I should come back to Kiruna again.

４年前にスウェーデン北部の都市、キルナに観光に行きました。もう４年も経つのかぁと、写真を見ながら懐かしく思い出しています。

「マイナス20度の世界を経験したい」
「サーミ文化を体験したい」
「できればオーロラをみたい」

キルナに滞在中に目標を持って、胸をワクワクさせながら遊びに行きました。今まで経験をしたことのないことを行うと、一生、脳に刻まれる感じがします。あの、肌を刺すような寒さは日本では経験できない思い出になりました。結局はオーロラはキルナ滞在中はみることは出来ませんでしたが、それはきっとまたキルナに帰ってこいと言う意味なのかなぁと思っています。
