Pinkie -- My Alltime Favorite Camera

Soooooooo, CAMERA, it is my best and bestest buddy when it cames to keeping my digital memories. It is my ever friendly digital gadget that records and treasures of almost all out milestones activities or even those smallest details/moments that were easily captured. My lifetime USB hehehehe. Thanks to the state of the art and we are currently under the Digital Generation where pictures now are easily can be taken taken by almost anywone and anywhere unlike the old times that we still need to buy a film and undergo certain processess before we could actually see the picture. Sometimes, with films, it took so many daaaaaaays before it get to be printed out. But now, whooola, in just a mere seconds, in just a click using any android phones, pictures are easily captured and easily printed as well! See, how technology had soared so high over the decades. Amazing discovery indeed! A big thanks to the founder of digital cameras!!! As per history, the first digital camera invented was way back in 1975 by Eastman Kodak Engineer Steven Sasson. Brilliant Sir, salute! To date, a lot of android phones are now offering cameras with varying megapixels in an image.

or so the famous adage,

a picture is worth a thousand words

True!!! A picture alone contains a lot, not just words but it contains emotions as well. Pictures are somehow our reminder of what happened in the past, it can never tell the future. But it save memories of our past.

In writing, I think it is important that we do not only post with just words. If possible, we attach some pictures to whatever we are writing here. For me, I feel that I can express more if there are pictures shown to fully describe and to fully capture we mean. Sometimes, we usually run out of the exact words to say, but with a picture shown it is easily understood more. In topics of food, travel and experiences, pictures are a must. There are things that needs proof, that needs validity, that needs approval ---- wherein a pictures can answer to all that. Pictures do brought things to life or massively convince our audience how delicious the food or how great is the view or scenery is.

In my blogs, it is important that I have to present proofs of images that shows my credibility in telling my stories. I usually blog about my life and experiences ---- and they are best described if pictures were tagged to it. Looking back to my very first year here in the community, back then I have a digital camera, it was a Samsung Camera NX 1000 and it was in PINK! Oh how I missed my pinkie cam, it was the best gadget I ever had, not that it had my favorite color in it but it toooooook great pictures of my every subjects! I love her auto-focus features that gets the right exposure I needed in my shots. Also, she has burst shots that capture very fast moving subjects especially if taken with children. No blurry or mushy mushy shots at all. It really snap candid shots in still images. I supeeeeer enjoyed taking shots every time. It was also very easy to use and so convenient. I can easily connect it also directly to my android phone, so uploading and printing copies were a breeze. But sadly, pinkie has to rest a bit, she had lived at its fullest and rendered services for me for I think more or less five (5) years! And I still have her here just safely kept in my precious baul, where a lot of my treasures are kept and hidden.

For the moment, I am quite contented with the camera in the android phone (Vivo Y33s). It is okay for I am not into photography mood now unlike I was before which is why Pinkie was bought for in the first place. What matters to me now is I can still take candid shots of what is happening my life and my family. Besides, I am no longer into photo editing these days where big megapixels is needed. In short, I am quite contended with what my cellphone camera can offer. However, with Pinkie, my favorite sugject was my children and nature. I am not a fan of self-portrait, I do not take selfies that much either. Maybe because I hit adulting already, my need to keep posting pictures in social media as well as pcitures of myself had decreased over time until I do not post about me anymore. I would rather be the one who call the shots, position an angle to snap a different side and edit pictures to even make my subject pop more. I am the girl behind the camera, though I am not that experienced photographer. hmmmm.. come to think, I am just a mother who is soooooooo obsessed with her children and if only every minute I could capture their every moment, I will.

Funny thing is, whenever I post my Pinkie Pictures in FB, a few friends would message me saying how lucky I was for having such an expensive DSLR Camera for my shots were taken with high resolution. But the truth is, Pinkie was far from being a DSLR camera and she wasn't expensive either nor near the price with them. I could not even afford an iPhone how much more for a DSLR cameras.. tsk.. We all want to have the high-end gadggets how I wished I have a DSLR too!!!! Especially with those long lenses, wooooow just wooow! It is a dream!

Anyway, below are but a few samples of my captures with Pinkie.. I have won several photo contests/challenges both in Instagram and here in our community.
