(Happy weekend after Christmas)
A Simple but Sweet Christmas
Hi everyone!
I’ve been extra busy these past few days, so I haven’t had the chance to share my little Christmas cooking with you yet. For me, holidays don’t always mean rest—sometimes they mean more working days! With extra pups and kitties needing love and care (shoutout to my sweet Mabel, Stella, and of course, my loyal Evie!), my schedule stays full even during vacation time.
But that didn’t stop me from enjoying a cozy, homemade Christmas!
My cousin brought over some fresh chicken, so I whipped up palabok—a comforting Filipino favorite that always feels like a hug on a plate. For dessert? Something light and tropical: ripe mango slices layered over buttery biscuits. Simple, yes—but full of joy!
And of course, no holiday is complete without my furry family! Evie had the best day—running around, cuddling, and soaking up all the love from Daddy. Look at that happy face!
That’s my short but sweet Christmas share! No fancy feasts or elaborate plans—just good food, loved ones (two-legged and four-legged!), and quiet moments of gratitude.
Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, hopeful start to the new year! 💛
— Joyce (and Evie)
