Christmas Is Calling Me Home (But I Need a Little Help to Answer It)

in Ecency19 days ago

Every December, no matter how far life pulls me, my heart always drifts back to the village.

It’s not about luxury or big celebrations. It’s about waking up to the sound of chickens instead of alarms. It’s about sitting outside in the evening, listening to stories that don’t exist on the internet, and eating food that tastes like memory. Christmas in the village has a way of slowing life down and reminding you who you are.

This year, I truly want to go home for Christmas. I want to experience that early morning firewood smoke, help prepare meals, visit relatives I only hear about on phone calls, and share laughter that doesn’t need Wi-Fi. I want to reconnect, not just with people, but with my roots.

But truthfully, getting this experience takes money. Transport, small contributions to the household, food, and little “Christmas things” add up quickly. I’ve been doing my part, but I’m still short of what I need to make this trip possible and meaningful.

So I’m putting this out here humbly and honestly. If you’re in a position to support me, sponsor this Christmas journey, or even tip this post, I would be deeply grateful. Every little support moves me closer to home. And if you can’t support financially, an upvote, a kind word, or sharing this post also means a lot.

I believe Christmas is about community, generosity, and showing up for one another and here has always felt like a place where that spirit lives.

Thank you for reading.
Thank you for caring.
And thank you in advance to anyone who helps me make this village Christmas a reality ❤️

Wishing everyone love, warmth, and light this season.
