Ecencials, we are excited to announce a new update on our Ecency Mobile App.
The option to boost content with Ecency points has been discontinued, as mentioned in a previous post. We have introduced a new feature for Ecency points, and the Boosting option has been removed from the posts menu. Instead, you will now see a Fire icon at the top right corner called Boost+. This feature has been introduced, allowing users to use their points to get delegation for 7, 30, or 90 days. Approximately 350,000 VESTS, equivalent to 200+ HP, have been allocated for this purpose.
This feature will soon be available on Ecency.com along with other surprises. Users can now easily support Ecency by clicking on the "Support now" option, with the ability to delay the announcement for 48 hours by selecting the "Later" option. Unified announcements system is now supported by both website and mobile app.
Another great addition Reblog counts are now visible, preparing for the next major upgrade of hive nodes. Not all nodes have upgraded but if you connect to api.hive.blog and other nodes that has upgraded, you should start seeing reblog counts just like you see vote counts.
New translation strings have been added to allow users to use Ecency in their preferred language for a more secure experience.

Do we actually have an APR on this Boost+? :D
Since we can delegate HP to Ecency to get Hive + Points, if we then "reinvsted" that into Ecency with this new Boost+, is there an APR for it? :D
We haven't calculated it and it would be wrong to just say numbers without people doing any actual statistics. So don't trust anyone who gives you APR, just test it first with small amount and decide for yourself.
Benefits of Delegating HP to @ecency, gives you 100% curation reward back in HIVE token + Ecency Points + chance of airdrop to Ecency token + you will be helping our onboarding effort, that we know and can tell for sure. Our onboarding has been working flawlessly for past few years now thanks to all delegators.

I was wondering, is there any chance of this being a feature that we can use for other accounts in the future? It would be wonderful to be able to gift a delegation, especially from a community standpoint.
This could allow communities that are earning points from authors posting via the Ecency front end to turn around and use those points for delegation prizes. It would also allow more established accounts to help others along. Cheers to cool new updates! 🥂😄
Simply gift Points to the Community members you want to support with a delegation! Even if they have already received a delegation, they can hold those Points until they are ready to receive another delegation.

Can you please explain how you calculate delegation and price?
Unfortunately, I only recently bought 6000 points because I didn't know about this change. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it and I won't do it again, because the points are now worth a fraction. Or I have a thought and math error.
I hope the old function will remain on the website for a few more days and that the votes will still be cast so that I can still use the points I bought somehow.
If we wish to take a delegation for 30 days and request an HP delegation of our choice, is that possible?
For example, I'm considering taking a 1000HP delegation with my own points. Is there such an option?

No, there is no that flexibility at this time. Just what we released for now, we will be experimenting different use cases as we gather some feedback.
So does that mean currently, 1500 points can get a delegation for just 200 HIVE for a week? If I'm not mistaken.

Continue publishing content and we are reworking our system to vote on content mostly published by Ecency, of course considering other content also. And vote percentage will be depending on some factors like activities/content/points. More details will be available later via our curators once system update is ready.

Miss a few days on chain and you come back to many changes! I noticed the boost option was no longer available and came to check the recent updates just to find out about the drama 🎭 Ehh, where there are humans, there will always be a drama in one form or another.
It is however great to see that Ecency team continues to develop new features and improvements despite the naysayers. Keep up the great work, guys!
I personally !love the Ecency app and it’s my go-to for 90% of things I do on chain, including posting, interacting, delegating, transfers and more. Love the fact that we can easily support the current proposals in-app too.
