On the Hive blockchain about 6 months ago, I wrote post about a charity campaign for a local retirement home raising money for books. A handful of accounts (3) kindly donated some Hive to the cause.

However most noticeably I received a charitable gift from @k-banti. I do not personally know this man, aside from some casual interactions, and his generous donation (of 15 Hive, I think) really helped the campaign reach its target.
He wasnโ€™t a particularly large stake holder at the time, so his generous donation was really outstanding.

That was a really memorable gift, and it genuinely highlighted the real power of the blockchain. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Thanks @k-banti for the support, as well as the other awesome Hivers who contributed!

They are my everything! ๐ŸŽ

My entire life I wanted a dog. For my 18th birthday few of my friends got me one. It was best and cutest gift I ever received. This is me holding him at my birthday party.

The greatest gift I ever gotten was on my birthday. I was at home, thinking to celebrate the birthday on a low key but lo and behold while I was sleeping the birthday cake gift came in and it wowed me. I must confess it's best gift I have ever gotten so far. I love it and it's really special to me.

For me it's a wooden scale which I my dad gave me because after it there is huge changes come in my life because it's a gift but for me it's transformation of my life to understand how hard to earn money to to buy a scale.

The gift I got is from God.. that's the gift of life which I'm and will always be grateful for... Yeah ! The gift of life from God.

The gift I would never forget was a football boot I received from my aunt to participate in a football competition. It would definitely be in my memories because I got to the finals, though we lost but am grateful we got to the finals.

The most memorable gift apart from LIFE was a handbag I got from a friend who is quite younger than me and sent the bag even before the actual birthday. I was so elated when I received a call that I had a package from a friend.

Mine is not really a gift as in a present from someone, but a gift in life. For many years, I could not see past the negative experiences and see the lights at the end of the tunnel. I could dwell in misery or feel depressed for a long time. Although the experiences I had were traumatizing, at some point, when I started writing to be exact. I started to heal little parts of these traumas just by sharing the story. The best part of this was that I noticed the tone in my writings change from anger and grief to seeing the positive things that happened afterwards. The grief for the traumas never disappeared but the ability to not let it ruin my life anymore and live my life by focusing on the positive and what I could control myself, has given me the ability to see things from a positive perspective, the glass is not half-empty but half-full. For as long as I remember, if something negative/stressful happened, I immediately started to feel negative, rather than thinking in solutions. Now that this has changed, this feels like a huge gift as its helping me deal with many life situations in a much better way.

The most memorable gift that I got was my 24th birthday gift.
To be honest with you, I never expected my roommate to surprise me with a gift since we were broke, but the broke the record. I felt so honored and bonded with her love for me.

The most memorable gift I ever got was a backpack when I turned 18. I couldn't wait to travel and my mom wanted to support my dreams.
I still use the backpack every trip and it's been to many countries in Europe, America, South-America and Asia. To me that gift has meant the freedom to pack some things and follow my dreams.
Here it is on my back in Bahia Blanca, Argentina!

My father is my best friend, and he was the one who gave me the best gift, I was about 17 years old and he gave me what every young man wants at that age, a motorcycle, for me it is and will be the best gift, the motorcycle was from Second hand but it worked very well, that gift is at the top and nothing has surpassed it.

When one of my good friends told me about Steemit around 5 years ago. I tried it and loved it. Then we switched to Hive and it is even better present. And when Hive hits 20$ then the present would be perfect.

That's to say your most memorable gift is getting introduced to crypto-based blogging platforms. That's nice!

Exactly. Have I mentioned also how much I love quality comments? :) Thanks for that!

Hahaha. You're welcome. I guess I know now. I would most likely stop at your blog to see what interesting thing I find. Do have a good night.

Thanks and wish you the same. I already follow you for some
good tips!

A few years ago when I had the challenge of getting a new boot my friends feel the pain and contribute money among themselves and surprised me with a

The most memorable gift i have ever gotten is my partner.

She is the memorable and unforgettable gift of love God gave to me.

I am not someone that receives materials gifts but ever since i met her? She is the only memorable gift social media gave to me , that is because i met her online and we got to know each and finally met.

The was a very joyous, awesome ,lovely , wonderful day of my life.

So i would give the credit to her

Her love and support since we have been together for the past 2 years, is something i can't be grateful enough for.

She is my greatest motivator, so i see her as a rare Gem

I think gifts are often given to people for different reasons but mostly to show appreciation to them for a certain act. The most beautiful thing about gifts is how they make you feel so good about yourself for receiving them and whether small or large, you just feel the need to appreciate the gift.

For me, the most memorable gift I have ever got that is still in my possession, is a silver bracelet and a gold wrist chain given to me by my best friend. I may not wear these accessories all the time but I always have them in my bag or purse. That's how much I cherish them and I hope for them to stay with me forever.

My girlfriend gifted me an Oculus Quest 2 last year! ๐Ÿคฉ

It's memorable because we had so much fun on it and it made it possible for me to participate to the HiveFest with a proper VR headset!

Sax and guitar.jpg

For some years, I had the desire and zeal to play musical instruments but I neither had money to buy them nor the money to go through proper training.

Hence, I learnt with the help of some YouTube videos, musical groups on social media and some online friends that I made in the course of my journey.

However, the little I learnt I was ready to share my knowledge with people both online and physically. Infact, I opened some WhatsApp groups for that purpose and I shared the little I know to others.

These wonderful musical instruments were given to me by two of wonderful friends. I received the Electric Lead guitar on the first week of March 2020 and the Alto Saxophone on the first week of July 2020 from different people.

I don't know if I truly deserve it, but I'm always grateful for these gifts. Each time I play these instruments I remember them, and I pray for more blessings on them.

These are indeed the most memorable gifts I've received and they are truly sources of blessings to me and to those who gave me to support me in my musical journey.

The best gift I have received was the help of my family, just a year ago, I fell into a serious illness that almost died and my family was always there, with the medicines, their presence and the concern to motivate the doctors to improve me.

The best gift I have received was as a child, the emotion of uncovering a gift, that feeling and feeling, and then discovering that they gave you is indescribable, a cart, a toy, it must be that the mind of a child is not contaminated with the ambition of the material and one was confused with small things that were great for a child.

I find the gift of being with family the best. As the kids get older activities and getaways that give us time together and lasting memories are the best gifts. A few years ago it was the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore and the Bad lands. Thinking something more tropical this year.

The most memorable gift I have ever gotten was the gift of a Lexus car from my husband when I gave birth to my Son.

The most precious gift was children's book from my mother's aunt. Unfortunately, I lost it or couldn't find it again. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Hello,
on day 7, I wish everyone a nice day and a nice rest of the week.
My best present was just before my 18th birthday at Christmas, when I got my first Honda CRX. I had reserved the car for February at a dealer and wanted to buy it myself because my parents said I wouldn't get a car for my 18th birthday. They weren't lying ๐Ÿ˜‰ I got it 3 months earlier and then had to wait until I was 18 to drive it.

Kind regards

The most memorable gifts are sometimes small things. For me itโ€™s a simple postcard received from my ex girlfriend for Christmas, it was just small thing beside the other gifts. At the backside of the postcard she wrote a few sentences about the picture on the front, why she bought it and about us. The real gift was her thoughts about us. After we broke up that was the only thing i kept, i didnโ€™t want to get rid of it, and i couldnโ€™tโ€ฆ Now we are back together, and iโ€™m glad i kept it, that postcard always bring up good memories for me. (She was surprised i still have it :) )

A homemade apple pie :) My friend made it for me. I had a super busy winter and no Christmas mood at all. But my friend made a pie for me and we had a small Christmas party with a pie and tea...)

I got "Super Mario Bros" Nintendo software when i was child.

until then borrow and play it from friend each time.

Honestly I can't remember any outstanding gift I got for any occasion, the things I like the most I bought for myself. Nowadays I don't even encourage gifting, I told my girlfriend we should just go out somewhere. This sounded sad when I was thinking about it, but I realized that things I remember fondly are the birthday parties etc., where we could enjoy the company of friends and do stupid stuff.

@ecency, I decided to make a post about my most memorable gift instead, I hope, it counts

What is the most memorable gift you have ever got?

My most memorable gift, was My son's first Christmas. It was so magical and such a beautiful season to share with him. He was enamored with all the lights and beautiful decorations, and to this day, Christmas is his favorite holiday!

The best gift I ever received isn't a gift per se, but it's my pet bunny Felix!

My fiancรฉe adopted him before the pandemic, and he has making my life way more happy and fullfilled since then <3

The most memorable gift i ever got was on my 32nd birthday..it was a very simple bracelet from my daughter. She bought it at her school with her own money she got from selling some handmade wallets she made ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ

Dad bought a computer. Intel Celeron 300 MHz, 32 MB RAM, 4 MB video card. Windows 98. Late 1996. It was a miracle! I still have a clear visual image of this beautiful moment!

My best Gift was a drawing from my children. It was addressed to Santa and I was not aware of it. That Christmas Eve, I told them to get the milk and cookies ready and go to bed. Later, while I was reading the cookies and arranging the gifts, I discovered the card they left. It asked for something special for mommy and daddy. I was so moved. I keep that little card close to my heart. That was my best ever present. I donโ€™t think it will be topped in my life time.

I recently learned that one can give proxy to another to help support by upvoting. If one is available, I would like to support Ecency projects like this. Could you send me a link and point me in the right direction.

The best Christmas gift anyone ever gets are the ones that they remember. So many gifts get lost in the shuffle of giving year in and year out. Something I will choose because I smile everytime I see them, use them, and even Smell them is a pair of cowboy boots that my husband gave me. It was not only personal-he got me just what I wanted, but he splurged and they are real leather, so everytime I smell the leather I smile and think of my husband. I smile when I see them and also when I wear them. I tell him thank you for them again amd again, so they are also a gift that keeps on giving. Some gifts may have been more expensive over the years, but these came to mind because they regularly make me smile, even 10 years later.

This is the most memorable gift I have gotten. It is not memorable because it is costly, rather because it was presented to me on my birthday and it was from someone I never for once expected it from and the manner it was presented to me is so memorable that I can never forget it.

The most memorable gift I ever got (and hope to get again in the future) is having my family all together at Christmas. Between the pandemic, my daughter and her young expanding family living a 10-hour drive by car, my mom's age & health, my son finishing college studies, and the reality that "tomorrow isn't promised" what makes the celebration memorable is all about who is around the Christmas tree not what is in the presents underneath it.

Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas!

My Most memorable was a Bike i wished so Hard!

My most memorable gift that was given on this exact day 4 years ago, is the gift of second life. If my bestfriend did not save my life and grabbed my hand when I accidentaly fell into a cliff, I would never have the chance now typing this message on this tiny commentbox. I'm thankful for today, for a second chance in life and to my bestfriend who saved my life.

The most beautiful gift I have ever received is "sincere attention" when I was sick with dengue fever and had to be hospitalized for 4 days in the hospital last November, it turns out that the attention from my husband, family and friends is the most beautiful gift that I will never forget, it turns out The gift doesn't have to be in kind.โ€ The care from our family and friends when we are sick and in need of support is the most beautiful gift that I will never forget in my entire life. Sincere attention is the most beautiful gift in lifeโ€ฆ.

I have received many presents from the simplest to some things extravagant but the most memorable one was a handwritten card that said: "I am glad to have you." I feel it sums up how am I in another person's life and one I will never, ever forget :)

..I'm not sure why I'm thinking hard, is it that I haven't gotten a memorable gift hehe I don't know??
Okay, let's see.
To be honest, there is one gift I consider the most memorable for me, it's not a material gift, I would say that it's spiritual and that is the gift of life after childbirth.

Sometimes I wonder how it would be if I had gone on that day leaving my son motherless.
While I was still pregnant with my son, I've always imagined how I would do my best to be the best mom that I can be. However, death during his birth made that seem almost impossible.

I don't know what happened on the day of his delivery because I had already given birth to him. Two hours after his delivery everything was still fine until I started bleeding and bleeding seriously, the nurses and doctors tried to do something about the situation, I could see it in their faces that they were confused because the emergency situations was unexpected. It got to a stage I became unconscious and for a moment everyone thought I'd given up the ghost, I also felt myself slipping away from this world.
I'm just grateful for God's gift of life that I'm alive today still with my son and all that I wished and imagined are coming through. That's my most memorable gift.
