Hello! This is a difficult challenge for me, since winter is barely noticeable in Cuba and, unfortunately, Christmas will be a dark one for many here. So all I can think to do is share a smile and the light in Christmas hugs!

it's crafted by my wife even though her vision was very bad, only makes me wonder what she will be able to craft after she has recoverd from her second cataract surgery in Januari 2026 .

This is awesome and very creative. Could pass for a key holder/chain. Love it! I hope she creates even more lovely things when she's well!🥰

the diameter is about 30cm ;) a bit to big for a keychain

Yeah, that was obvious from the pic. I guess I was just talking about the design in its entirety.

This one is special because it was a recipe I shared on my Hive blog, and my youngest son happily helped me with it. He is always by my side helping me, and at this time of year, the warmth of home becomes even stronger when I share it with my children.

¡Wow!

Gracias gracias 🤗 feliz noche amiga 💕

In my country it is so special they don't allow to make photos. That the other countries wouldn't copy our perfect traditions.

In the image that I share with you, there are several hallacas, a dish that is consumed a lot at Christmas time in my country, Venezuela. It is an important tradition because its preparation brings the family together to celebrate. Each member — and also the friends - has a responsibility: from washing the banana leaves to making the stew, separating the ingredients, crumbling the chicken and meat, or tying them up. In the magic of the kitchen, we all laugh, tell stories, and sing; it is a true moment of union and love. In addition, we accompany it with a wine, a beer, or a good Scotch. This is how we celebrate Christmas, with a family reunion and with an atmosphere of love.

Hello! In Venezuela, we have the custom of celebrating Christmas on the evening of the 24th with a dinner prepared with traditional seasonal dishes, including hallaca, pan de jamón (ham bread), chicken salad, baked pork leg, and other dishes such as grilled ham, baked turkey, etc., which are optional and depend on the tastes and budget of the diners.

This photo I am sharing is from last year's Christmas dinner, where you can see the star of Venezuelan festivities, the hallaca.

This is a holiday themed photo. It is so special because December meant a partly vacation month here. And my children are at home for the short vacation. In other words, a family reunion. This was two years back when we chose to spent the holiday in a hill station. A beautiful view point.

I asked chatGPT to portray exactly this, Argentine family, with the table full of food and the children in the back playing, it is a beautiful holiday

Hong Kong doesn't get snow or traditional cold winters, so the holiday spirit comes alive through massive light displays, giant Christmas trees, and events like the Symphony of Lights show enhanced for the season. The blend of towering modern skyscrapers with sparkling festive decorations creates a unique urban magic.

This is a Christmas tree ball containing a small Badel Pelinkovac Antique and, what I think is a praline - Griotte.
Badel Pelinkovac Antique is pure old-school Croatia in a glass - bitter, herbal, slightly dangerous, made to sip slowly and respect. It started as a medicinal liqueur and somehow turned into a cult classic.
And Griotte? Dark chocolate, sour cherry, a little boozy kick inside - sweet, bitter, and seductive at the same time.
Together they just make sense. If Croatia had a guilty pleasure combo, this would be it. 🍒🥃

Winter is very unlikely to arrive here in Venezuela due to its location. We are undoubtedly in the best part of the Christmas season, and I'm sharing a picture of my morning's coffee along with the Christmas decorations we've put up at home.

I'm with my husband and just a few days ago they decorated nearby for Christmas and I took the opportunity to take some pictures. Here's one with a Santa Claus sleigh theme.

This is a particular team of dancers from my own village. Known as
"the war dancers" (iri agha) in my dialect.

During this winter holiday season, there will be many dancing groups presenting their dance vibes just to entertain people. This is one among many of them

This and other dance groups will stage their captivating dance moves and dance steps at the center of the village where everyone will gather watching them perform. It's a memorable lifestyle from my village.

Many people normally come out, walk around watching them dancing. It's always very joyous and memorable event for whoever that cares, that wants to know about our culture. It's purely a cultural dance entertainment.

Venezuelans are very cheerful and really enjoy Christmas; they celebrate it in plazas, dancing. I usually celebrate it more at home with my family.

I show you the name of our municipality adorned with garlands so that a long-standing custom continues: the lighting of the lights every December to celebrate Christmas.

December is a month of vacation in my country. Specially for children, because schools and colleges have winter vocations. Festivals and events organized in December as well. Last week I visited a winter feast with my family and it was a fun.

Here we have Christmas trees everywhere already from the end of October :) It sounds weird but yes, we have Christmas vibes everywhere super early :)

For me, winter is special because of the cold and fog. I like such weather, and I love to enjoy the winter in the village.
