The best Christmas gift I've ever received is my current family.
I grew up in a family where Christmas was never celebrated. My mom and dad (when my dad was still around) went to bed early; they didn't even wait until midnight on New Year's Eve.
However, with my current family (my wife and our two children), we play, have dinner, and have lots of fun until the new year.
And not only that. We also celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and we give the children gifts both on Christmas and Three Kings' Day.
But the best thing of all is that I've never spent a Christmas celebration alone again. Laughter and games: joy is what we have in abundance to share.

So, beyond the laptop as an object, I was given a means to earn a living; I was given a tool for my work. With it, I've been able to support my children and my home.

The best Christmas present I received was the news that I was going to have a son.

The most memorable and most wonderful gift I ever received was a song, actually a poem, written shortly after the beginning of our love relationship, somewhere around New Year that year :). When I say the most memorable, I also mean that I immediately remembered it to recite it. It has 6 stanzas because it is written as an acrostic where each stanza begins with a letter from the name and mine has 6, Bojana. ๐ฅฐ

A poem is something unique, personalized. Not everyone takes the time to write a poem, to put their feelings on paper and give it as a gift.

One of the gifts I remember the most and that meant more to me than anything else was given to me many years ago, but not for Christmas. It was an iPod. I have never, even when I had "extra" money, bought trendy things. But it's not about the trend or the price. I love music, and I got an iPod from a cousin I haven't seen in years. Plus, it was metallic red. Unfortunately, a few months later my ex "appropriated" it and then sold it.
And now, the gift I would remember most would be paying off my debts because it would make my life with a small income much easier.
While working in school, on the eve of Christmas, we have a gift giving ceremony to an unknown colleague of ours. And I was happy to receive the most excited gift from a colleague of mine. The gift being a saree (an Indian drape) of my favourite colour olive green. Something I wished in my heart and finally got it.

Since then, we've spent every Christmas here in Pamplona, โโwhere the Christmas celebrations are incredible. I think the best gift in my life is a handwatch given by my little sister. Not so expensive but it's one of my favourites.
I don't remember the age, but I do know I said I wanted to be a doctor, perhaps because of the family's influence, where doctors of all specialties abounded.
Therefore, my parents, on one Christmas, took me for a walk in the shops and noticed how my eyes sparkled when I saw a chemistry set and a beautiful children's microscope.
Well, when Santa arrived, that fat guy brought me the microscope and the chemistry set. Those were days when I loved those gifts that impacted me so much. I couldn't believe Santa knew what I wanted. It was something magical that still makes me smile.

The best gift I've ever received is the legacy my mother gave me of how and why Christmas is celebrated. Without that, it lacks its true meaning and would simply become another gathering. The love she poured into every dish she made for us is something I inherited and have passed on to my children, because these days are about sharing not only food, but also love, fellowship, and gratitude.

Simply put, watching my grandchildren grow up is the best gift I could receive from life.

My most memorable gift is one I've shared several times, but it doesn't hurt to repeat it. I think it was about four years ago when one afternoon I checked my Hive wallet and found 200 HBD, which my friend @felixxx had transferred to me. Seeing that my photos weren't the best, he gave me this gift so I could buy a cell phone with a better camera and earn better rewards. It was simply an incredible act, something few people would doโgive their money to a stranger. It's something I'll never forget and for which I'll be eternally grateful for that special gesture.
The best gift I've ever received was a set of storybooks; I love reading. In one of the books, I learned about Bakita, an African girl who was enslaved and later learned about the life of Jesus. She became a nun and is now considered a saint.
