What are some of the questions it raises?

It teaches against believing yet teaches to follow she practice the teachings. That is a paradox

If you were in the dark and could not see in front of you, a Teacher could come with a light to show you the way.

He could show you there is a log in front of you, so you don’t trip, and could tell you not to believe him, but to look and see it yourself.

Independently verify.

How can you look and verify if you were in the dark? You can't see anything remember?

So if I can't see anything because I am in the dark, I would have to believe and trust that whatever the teacher tells me is correct.

It's entirely antithetical
