Solarpanels Balcony!

I am curious to hear from people who have Solarpanels hanging from their Balconys.

How are they connected? Inverter/Battery?
Are they offgrid or on grid?
What do you use it for?

Sort:

I know @louis88 has some. From what I know they include an inverter and just plug in. They are not currently legal in the UK, but may be soon. That gives many more people the option to get solar.

Yea, it's an easy PlugnPlay System.

Where does Louis live? :D
Do you Energy Provide need to know about it?
and is it connected to what we here would call a Measuring cabinet?

In Germany you need to provide details about the Panels to atleast your local power provider and a database of photovoltaic users owned by the goverment to have an overview what's happening in total. And sometimes need a new measurement in the basement - mostly a digital power calculator thingy dingy. and then here it goes ezy pezy... plug'n play and use the the electricity directly from the sun and reduce the costs for power from the power-supplier you buying electricity from.

Alright! Thanks!
Its properly the same I have to do here in Denmark. At least it sounds like the same thing I have to do.

Thanks again for explaining! :D

Neat thanks!
They seems to be legal here in Denmark, as long as your energy provider knows about, but it also properly have to be connected to Measuring cabinet

don't use them my self but there are sets with inverter so that you can plugit in to a wall outlet.

I did read a bit up on it and it seems fairly straight forward :D
