Not sure where did you get the "against" 🤔
Till recently there was no good open system to power short form content on Hive. This changed thanks to HAF and HafSQL (by @mahdiyari). We have been able to build this whole system without a separate database nor a dedicated backend.
I don't remember them being against short form.
Yep, totally.
It was just technically tricky to implement everything we wanted in a short form content system relying on a fully open protocol.
