May have to revise my voting strategy of many small votes per day. While the vote value remains more constant with the HF it seems my vote % keeps falling toward zero and doesn't replenish as fast. 🤷♂

I've realized that too. We basically have 1,000% to spend each day with the new algorithm. I had to adjust my strategy a lot.
Yeah, I suppose I will have to dig into the new math of how curation works and adjust accordingly.
Put simply, your VP recharges in a flat rate of 20% per 24 hours. A 100% upvote always costs you 2% of the total VP (unlike up until the fork). That effectively means that you can distribute 10 full upvotes a day to keep your VP stabilized. Or one thousand 1% upvotes. Or any combination.
It was supposed to be more intuitive, but franky, I like the old model way better. And it felt more natural to me.
Thx for that info. The new model does seem a little confining for someone like me and the amount of HP I have. Leaving a .02 vote to avoid dust issues seems to limit the number of votes a day I will have available.
I agree the old way seems more natural for curating manually.
The dust threshold remains, but it feels higher due to the recent drop in price. I guess it would harm short content and replies in long term, at least until we get back to over 20 cents.
I suppose a higher price would cure a lot of ills. :)

I've noticed something strange about the vote value. On November 15th, before the fork, my vote value was 0.065. Today it's 0.052. However, the HIVE value is identical (on the 15th and today). I didn't remove it, and I even added HP. I don't understand.
Vote values are based on the 3.5 days median price of the price feed. Which currently is 0.106 HBD.

Yeah, I may have to change how I vote. I like the many smaller percentage votes that I do now. It keeps me engaged with more accounts. I may need to change though to fewer votes using a larger percentage. Time will tell I guess.

yeah, good question. Kinda looks like origami with a small light behind it, but the colors and light/shadow also resembles a bit a crystal, glass, or translucent plastic sheet.. my best guess is orignami, made from thin paper sheets, of two or three colors

I don’t think hive has many people who understand marketing and more importantly I think marketing in general is becoming more difficult. I think projects and their communities should be marketing more than “Hive as a whole” and doing it for free through social media. Make it fun.
We need to target the right people at the right place, time and location for it to be effective, otherwise it would be a waste of energy without results.
