If you have enough HP to give comments a good vote, but delegate it all to get paid then you ought to use CommentRewarder so that people who engage with your posts get something. We need to encourage interaction. Spread the rewards!
It makes sense! I think I need to improve my participation in snaps and interact more deeply in long articles. I have no intention of consuming videos, I don't like that type of publication.

I think Hive should have all kinds of content as tastes will vary. People will generally want engagement as well as rewards. If I see that someone never replies to comments then I'm less likely to vote them up.
If you're active, you shouldn't delegate out much. It doesn't make much sense, you lose control over rewarding the people you interact with.
Spread the rewards must be a kind of slogan, haha!

I think the @ecency search is the best for Hive stuff. I just found a post I made three years ago in a few seconds. We need the dapps to be competing on features to drive progress.
Update: Ecency has search within an account. In peakd you can do the same in Advanced search.
Providing a useful search engine is hard regarding infrastructure wise. :(

Ecency has a good one and peakd's search is somewhat usable. Others are a complete mess though 😂

I was able to search just my own posts and then use a couple of key words from the post title. I've not used Hive Searcher in a while, but trying it now did not find that post.
Our search is powered by hivesearcher since maintain and develop it, we used all its features on our website and app
I first saw it way back an old 'Fest'. Being able to search my own posts is very useful.

I think the more the merrier to encourage folk. I just realised I had kinda forgotten about them and am now going through with a bit of voting in mind
I mean i enjoy sharing stuff on snaps regardless of rewards and meaning/fulfillment will be the thing that keeps people here. BUT rewards can get them interested to look and remind them that interacting is something we like seeing. So yes!
For now I would say "yes".
In the short period those will maybe be collected by just a few users, but in the long run those higher rewards (distributed by @commentrewarder) will attract more people and more interactions.

I think that for the amount of comments and content here, the current rewards are rather generous. The OGs with loads of HP gather here, so from the three microblogging platforms, Snaps seem to be the most profitable one.

Yes. No doubts about it. Not just because of the rewards themselves (which is kinda important), but mainly because of the motivation factor.
There is so much on Hive that it's hard to keep up with everything. I'm still learning new things every now and then.
For instance this week I learned I can start my POB for Hive rewards via pob.voter.
Tell us something about Hive you know, but a lot of Hivers don't!
Hive is censorship resistent in its very nature. However, 99% Hiveans do not interact with blockchain directly, we all rely on front ends, which serve as access point.
These front ends can decide what content will be visible, and can hide posts or comments. One does so now.
Oh, good one! And some interfaces do have the option to see older versions of a post (before editing). You can change your post, but the original version will still be visible!
Which is the great thing on Hive - you cannot pretend you published something else than you actually did. That's the immutability ;)
They also have bee.voter, where you delegate your BEE token and receive a weekly payment on Hive. If you have 1000 LGN tokens you start receiving votes on your posts.

The problem is that I think 1000 LGN tokens is more than 1k hive, it's something like that, I have 60 and he has a daily payment on top of that. The LGN token is from the same team as BRO, so it's reliable, it's just expensive to get haha

There is a funny thing on hive called Withdraw routes. You can set these routes so that when you power down, the money goes automatically to a specific account. I remember a time when this was used to hack accounts...

I've noticed people complaining that some short content posts (Snaps, Waves, Threads) generate too high rewards in relation to the effort and/or quality. Especially newbies struggle with low long posts rewards. Would capping the short content rewards help?

The cap can be easily "substituted" by downvotes - if somebody decides a short form content of two sentences and a link should't get that much, they can easily downvote it. Regardless the demographic :)

Shortform content that's engaging is hard to write. Plus, it's the same thing with long form that gets arguably unreasonable rewards. The cap is interesting, but let's make it at least 5 imo or it's not worth writing Snaps.
Whenever my post gets over say $80, it recieves some "equalizing" downvotes. And I don't complain, getting the author half of $70 is still cool ;)
The caps in the poll are just for illustration.
On the other hand, downvotes are basically just another way to cap the rewards. If your Snap is worth $5 and I downvote it with 100%, you lose $1 of total reward and 50 cents of your author's payout.
I agree - although you do see some people who consistantly get that and DON'T get those equalising dvs...
Hadn't occured to me to dv a snap. I guess it'd have to get an extreme reward for extremely shit snapping! I mean, 'gm friends'? It's rather subjective, isn't it?
Well, I do get downvotes of some of the best paid post, recently on this one:

I have never been downvoted on Snaps, but I'v just posted like two dozens of them, and none of them got over $1 I guess. I can imagine someone might feel an urge to downvote a snap of mine it the reward was say $5.

Eso está muy bien. Yo bajé full de peso desde septiembre hasta la fecha, pero porque estos meses estuve bailando mucho y eso también me ha ayudado a estar más activa y aunque no como comida chatarra o fritos, la alimentación es súper importante y el agua.

I doubt you can get any airdrops from those but they can't get into your wallet without keys anyway.
I don't think I'll win anything either kk, some profiles are verified and say "the first 500 receive aidrop of x token" but nothing kkk, just hoping. If they don't have the keys and can't do anything about it, I'm more relaxed.
They probably just want engagement/followers to boost their account. I've seen plenty of fake giveaways on twitter.

For a moment, I thought it was something else. I've never heard of this herb. Its Wikipedia page mentions it's found in European cuisine but don't mention anything about Australia or Canada. Curious.

Yeah it may have been used by early settlers if they grew the herb but it's pretty rare. You can find it but not many people know what to do with it. Some foodies make lovage oil which would be great for roasting veg!
