Over time I've learned we've always had our issues here in the US. What's happening now though is just against everything I was ever brought up to believe about this country. It is terribly sad.

That’s the thing, every country is far from perfect but what’s happening now is reminiscent of the early 1930s - I thought the human race had learnt never to dare going back there. Yet here we are.
Whenever the next election comes up here in England, I’m going to vote for a party I’ve never voted for before and that is likely try be the Greens because the rest are frankly horrifying me.
Totally agree. The tipping point is near and enough of we humans appear ready to give fascism another go.
Unfortunately there is so much money and corruption in our US voting systems that enacting change will be difficult. There is hope but it will be a steep climb.
