I do think I have a good understanding of how difficult things are to code and try to keep my requests within reason. Like one of my recent requests was for a tool find recent comments within a given community. I researched and learned about tag inheritance and mandatory tagging.

I see. So a hackathon is a meetup where developers come together to collaboratively develop software, so to participate, you're probably want to learn some coding.
Yeah, I understand what a hackathon is, but there are ways to help buidl even if you're not a developer. I do know some coding, but not enough to consdider myself a developer. I've worked hand in hand with devs in the past though and the results were great.
