I have received a lot of feedback that we need a more clear standard on downvotes.
I do not think we should “expect” this but I will personally work towards this.
I will continue to refine my downvote approach based on community feedback.

I downvote spam, blatant vote farms (and bidbots if they return), and scam/fraud/phishing should I find it. I don't really believe in "correcting" posts I think are "over-valued."
That is typically where I sit with some subjectivities.... but that is the way it goes sometimes.
If anyone can ever tell me what "over-valued" even means maybe I will consider it 🤣
I think it's often a cover for, "This whale I don't like upvoted some random post I think is crap."

I think if there is a valid reason for downvote, then there should be no issues. But if you downvote anyone just because your believe a post doesn't deserve so much reward, I think it's not ok. I will keep watching and hope nobody will get a downvote unfairly.
I agree “over rewards” is a weird reason.
I have asked people to explain this to me and I have received varying answers on what an over rewarded post even means.
I try not to downvote for this reason, if you think I have, please let me know.

In my humble opinion, there should be a consensus among all those who consider voting negatively and have clear rules; sometimes it is unfair to vote negatively for someone because they have many rewards.
I have tried to understand how to create a consensus. I do not believe it is possible because everyone who is human will have different philosophies.
If you want a consensus, how do you recommend we achieve that?

Hi, I suppose what I do with my children is get together and make the rules clear about what we should do, for example, gather those who justify negative votes and reach a consensus: when they are justified, and also involve the community
If we do that, then the Whale’s are coordinating and then the Cabal narrative would be somewhat correct 😅
I do not think there is a Cabal and I would like to avoid creating a situation where people think there is.
