What I don't quite understand is why many authors don't respond to the comments on their blogs, whether in the form of upvotes or their own comments. You should be happy when you receive a good comment on your blog and appreciate it accordingly.

Or am I wrong? 🤔

Not wrong, just most comments are not that good really.

And it's a bit of a faf upvoting by like 1% just to acknowledge the comment and most people probably don't have enough HP to get over the 0.02cent dust threshold to upvote meaningfully.

Some short comments I also upvote with only 1% to acknowledge them.

But I talk about good and longer comments and authors who have more than 0.02 VP.

But I agree with you.

@commentrewarder is a way around that if your post gets some rewards. I often use up my VP voting on comments.

It should be exciting seeing someone come around your post, maybe they don't understand it that way.

Yes, maybe...

I always appreciate people's comments on my post in anyway because for them to have even noticed your post, it's something commendable

That is 100% what I think, too.

Unless I don't to say to them especially when the person makes a "conclusive" statement; that doesn't need interaction

Exactly, it is worth some appreciation

If people can't give much of a vote then they can share rewards with @commentrewarder. I will respond to genuine comments.

Yes, commentrewarder is a great service. I also use it.
