Then another question came to my mind: why is Steem valued at anything at all? Their posts are mostly promoting gambling and cryptoscams while here at Hive people post about their daily lives, gardening, sports, handcrafts, etc.
It could be because they already had good ground work (basis) before the fall.
Living on old glory.... kind of thing.
Hive is more decentralized than steem
