Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well.

What a busy 3 weeks, unexpected as I put on the title.

Hubby was on a quick trip to Japan, which was a last-minute decision, so I had to look after the two boys and run the house as a single parent. The trip needed to be done before the school holidays meaning I had to ferry the boys to morning sports and music practice, after-school activities, make lunches, run the household as usual and all weekend activities and playdates.

Sounds busy right? Yes, it was super busy, I had to be very organised and had to even prepare lunches for the next day the night before. I think we only missed 1 music practice as BB E was not feeling well so he can sleep in but other than that, we attended everything! This also includes going to the school band concert for nearly 3 hours, I nearly fell asleep because I was so tired.

When Hubby complained about how hot and humid it was in Japan, I wished I was the one over in Japan with him. The moment he came back last week, I handed over all the driving around for the morning sessions back to him so I could get an extra 1-2 hours of sleep each morning.

It’s already hard looking after one child and then there are two? And boys? 😂 of course you’d be tired.

My heart nearly skipped a bit when I read the title as I read something else but I'm super glad that's not the case. I cannot imagine how stressful it must have been for you. Glad you can now get that much needed bed rest.

Wow, it sounds like you’ve had an incredibly busy few weeks! Managing everything on your own while your hubby was in Japan is no small feat. I’m impressed that you were able to keep everything organized and still attend all the activities, even with the added challenge of a sick little one. It must have been exhausting, especially that long school band concert!

I can totally understand wishing you could trade places with your hubby for a bit. It’s great that he’s back now and you can catch up on some much-needed sleep. Take care of yourself, you definitely deserve a break after all that hard work!
