Exercise is great therapy. It’s not just therapeutic but also healthy. I started my fitness journey two years ago and since then my mental and physical health has greatly improved!
My Routine
I go to gym six days in a week that’s Monday till Saturday. Mondays,Fridays and Saturdays are for aerobics and cardio. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I work out my upper body and do back exercises. Thursday I work on stomach. After each program I do some stretching, and drink water.
Expectations and Outcome
When I registered in one of the open air gym in my vicinity I was expecting to lose belly fat and arm fat in a month’s time also to gain some ass😃. The gym instructor assured me that I will have six packs and sexy legs in two months if I was consistent.
I was determined because I really wanted to have that banging body. I followed all the instructions and workout program my instructor gave, but it wasn’t easy😭 I almost gave up but when I remembered my body goals I kept showing up no matter how hard it was. No pain No gain like we always said. Another thing we also say is “Nobody dies!” Which means that the exercises wouldn’t kill you.
After two months of training I found out I had lost some arm fat and stomach but no six packs 🤦♀️ the belly reduced but it wasn’t as flat as I wanted.
Another good outcome after two months of working out was my legs and booty Before then I used to have tiny legs my upper body was bigger but after two months of workouts my legs and booty was looking sexy and hot. That alone gave me joy and made me not to give up.
The Greatest Challenge Hardly Ever Talked About
PMS (PreMenstruation Syndrome) is experienced by most ladies in the weeks following menstruation. For me it usually hits me with bloating and weight gain. When it comes it ruins all the good work I’ve been doing and spoils my physique.
It makes many people say I’ve been wasting my time but it’s so hard to explain to them that it is PMS. When my menstruation begins at last my weight drops again but not exactly as it was before. So my progress is slowed down just like that.
Unexpected Blessings
One of the best experiences of my fitness journey was the people I meet in the gym. It was amazing meeting them and sharing my thoughts and feelings with them. It was like a big family that works out together. We celebrate each other’s birthdays weddings and Christmas celebrations. I meet business owners and we did a profitable business together. We don’t just work out we also have fun while working out 🏋️♀️. They made this journey easy and fun for me.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I still believe can achieve it but I have accepted that it is going to take more time to achieve my dream body than I had expected. Also I have decided to make this journey a lifestyle, do it for life and never feel bad about my stomach not being flat. Also to keep eating healthy.
