Please Help My Sister Get Her Life Back, An Urgent Medical Appeal

After almost two years of back and forth with pain, my sister has finally been diagnosed with Odontogenic Keratocyst which requires a surgery, a hemimandibulectomy which cost an approximate sum of $1560 of which with the help of the public, we have raised about $813. And now, we need to raise the balance of $747.

Good day beautiful Ladies of Hive. I am writing for help from the community towards my sister’s surgery.

Two years ago, she went to a government-registered dental hospital for tooth removal based on the doctor’s recommendation after she complained of pains in the tooth. However, after the tooth removal, her health hasn’t been the same.

The pain kept recurring long after the tooth removal. She had returned to many dental hospitals plus the one she initially visited for the tooth removal, however, they kept administering drugs which did little to nothing because after a while of using the medications administered, the pain returned stronger.

Last week, the pain became unbearable for her and in the middle of the night, she was rushed to the hospital where she was referred to another that finally gave us a diagnosis, Odontogenic Keratocyst, a rare and aggressive jaw cyst which has caused a progressive growth in her jaw and needs to be removed with hemimandibulectomy to prevent further growth which may extend into her brain based on the doctor’s advice.

He further advised that she returned to the hospital as soon as possible for the surgery because any moment from now, she could experience an emergency.

Over the past years of her pain, we have spent a lot of money moving from one hospital to another looking for a solution. We have spent a lot of money on medical tests, and now this $1560 for the surgery is beyond us. We honestly cannot afford it.

We have sold everything we can, we have contacted the people we think could help, but the total amount we have raised so far is $813, leaving us with a need to raise a balance of $747. So, I am pleading with the community to please, help my sister.

Last year, her husband suffered a huge loss on his farm due to disease and pest infestation. Proceeds (which includes both the capital and profit) from my sister’s store too have gone into this ailment also, so she has nothing else to sell. All of us, her siblings, have tried all we can to raise the money and have exhausted all options, so we are humbly and honestly asking for your help, please.
