Water Lily is Bangladesh national flower.

White lily is our national flower. but why This question surely pops up in the mind of many people. Now I will tell you.
The white Shapla is the symbol of the people of Bangladesh. It is believed that the white color of the Shapla purifies the soul and unites the people of the country like the petals.

That is why Shapla flower has many colors but only white Shapla has got the status of national flower of Bangladesh. The national flower or its watermark is drawn on the money, money and documents of Bangladesh. Another reason is that Bangladesh is a riverine country. So Shapla is found all over the country. There are rivers, canals, rivers and ponds all over the country. And here a lot of flowers bloom throughout the year.

There are 50 species of bees around the world, but only 2 species of bees grow in Bangladesh. White and red color shapla. One is a blood lotus species and the other is a saluk species.
The roots of the plant are under the water and the flowers grow above the water. The flowers float on water for about five to seven days. Its leaves are round and green in color. White and red flowers look wonderful on green leaves. Shapla is more or less everywhere in Bangladesh throughout the year. But it is more in monsoon and autumn.

Two types of water lily flowers are available in our country. White and pink water lilies. National flower water lily of Bangladesh. I like water lily flower very much. Water Lily is Bangladesh national flower.

Thank you 😊

Hello @soneyatoma. Thanks for sharing the information about the water lily. I didn't know it was Bangledesh's national flower.

Did you take the photos yourself? If so, it would be nice to mention it in your post so that your readers know the source.

Also, you have one sentence that mentions bees, though your post is about the water lily. Perhaps you meant to say "water lily".

Take care.

Thank you 😊😊😊

In Canada we have many park lakes lined with lush lily pads. I'm not sure if they were imported or a native plant species and I don't remember the blooms. Your native specimen's blooms are so beautiful, thank you for sharing @soneyatoma

It's good to see and learn about your country's flower. They are beautiful with amazing colors!
